WC³ Can Help
We Focus on Exceptional Service and Client Care
WC³ stands out in the building safety industry due to our company culture. Not only are our staff members experienced and knowledgeable, but we strive to go the extra mile to meet the needs of our jurisdictional clients and to assist permit applicants. It is our people that set us apart and we invite you to meet with our local staff to see how we can assist your jurisdiction.
Background & History
WC³ specializes in providing all-inclusive municipal consulting services to jurisdictions and government entities. We were founded in 2006 by Giyan Senaratne, P.E., S.E., LEED AP, CASp. What started as a simple operation assisting two jurisdictions from Mr. Senaratne’s kitchen table has now grown to eight office locations servicing more than 300 clients.
From the beginning our goal has been to act as an extension of the public agencies whom we serve. Our staff of over 150 employees is comprised of Structural Engineers, Civil Engineers, Electrical Engineers, Mechanical Engineers, Fire Protection Engineers, Certified Fire Marshals, ICC Certified Building Officials, Certified Access Specialists (CASp), ICC Certified Plans Examiners, ICC Certified Building and Fire Inspectors, ICC Certified Permit Technicians and other professionals.
Keys to Our Approach
WC³ has always taken a reasonable, yet comprehensive, approach to providing the absolute best plan review, inspection and project management services. In addition to our approach, we have also crafted a development support style which requires a balance of (1) Expertise, (2) Good Judgment, (3) Qualifications, and (4) Technology. We believe that the four elements of our approach and style are a large part of what distiguishes us from others.
WC³ is comprised of a large team of experts. Our team has worked with numerous jurisdictions and seen a wide-array of development projects from simple single-family residences to 40-story high rises. WC³ specializes in all code disciplines, including building, fire and life safety, accessibility, mechanical, plumbing, electrical, energy and more.
WC³ prides itself on having some of the most qualified staff in the industry. Our team is made up of licensed structural engineers, civil engineers, fire protection engineers, ICC master code professionals, certified building officials, certified fire code officials, fire marshals, certified plans examiners and combination inspectors. In addition, many of our staff have advanced degrees in structural engineering, civil engineering, construction management and public administration.
Not every development project can fit into a nice box. WC³ staff members have had extensive exposure to a wide range of projects. This experience combined with an extensive knowledge of the codes and their referenced standards, provides the ability to exercise good judgement when interpreting whether the intent of code has been met. This solid understanding assists us as well when suggesting alternate approaches to meet the intent of adopted codes.
WC³ and our clients enjoy a significant advantage when it comes to the use of technology. In addition to the industry standard technology available, we utilize our own proprietary systems and software to intake, track, review and manage our (your) projects. Technology allows us work much more efficiently, and the flexibility and agility our clients enjoy is unmatched.
